Gemma
Salon Owner and Designer
I opened Silk in April 2015, with the aim of creating a luxury modern salon with a fun and friendly atmosphere. Being a part of this industry is an opportunity I feel very lucky to have. To have my own salon was a dream and it is now a reality.
I find creating restyles creates confidence! Seeing my clients leave the salon smiling is so rewarding. What gets me up in the morning besides my two daughters is my passion for the industry. I look forward to continuing to grow the salon.
I cannot quite believe we are almost 12years old what a journey it’s been! I am always so grateful to my awesome team and all our wonderful clients.
Libbi
Salon Manager
Libbi started with me in July 2015. After carrying out a successful 3 year apprenticeship Libbi has been running a very busy column in salon. Along side this Libbi has worked hard, gaining experience and training in all areas of management- leading her to Salon Manager. Libbi runs the salon smoothly and efficiently, keeping everything organised.
Libbi loves bringing hair goals to life, creating change and giving clients all the confidence..
Kelly
Senior Designer
Kelly has been working at Silk since we very first opened. Myself and Kelly had worked together for many years previous to opening Silk, so I was thrilled when Kelly decided to come and join the salon.
Kelly has almost 20years experience in the industry, she is so very passionate and gives each of her clients an incredible service and time to create their desired look. Kelly is an amazing stylist and is all about detail!

Grace
Designer
Grace has been in the hairdressing industry for over twelve years and has worked with Gemma in a previous salon many years ago. Grace joined Silk in November 2017 as maternity cover but loved salon life so much was delighted when asked to stay permanently.
Grace enjoys time with her clients creating new looks and making clients feel good about themselves.
Having spent five years teaching hairdressing she decided she missed Salon life. Grace is a great team member and a fantastic stylist.
Sophie
Senior Designer
Sophie has been with me since 2018, starting out as my Saturday Student.
After a successful apprenticeship, Sophie has been working hard, creating fantastic hair work and gaining a wonderful loyal client base.
Sophie’s friendly and professional manner has lead her to be a very successful senior stylist at Silk. Sophie enjoys all areas of hairdressing and loves welcoming new clients to the salon.
Millie
Salon Apprentice
Millie joined Silk in 2025. Millie is at the beginning of her training and is showing great potential to be a fantastic stylist.
Millie works hard and is a great help assisting stylists and keeping the salon clean and tidy.
Millie has already gained confidence since working at Silk and we look forward to her future.
